Warning As Snap Chat Adds Map To Share Exact Locations
Snap Chat now allows users to share their exact locations with others
Game Safe Warwickshire is a free event, open to young people, parents, teachers and professionals taking place on Thursday 26th April 2018.
At this free event, you will hear from Lorin LaFave, mother of Breck Bednar and founder of The Breck Foundation, a charity that educates the Digital Generation to keep safer online. She campaigns for a safer internet and helps train police, educators, health practitioners, safeguarding leads, parents and pupils to ensure that young people are empowered to make safer choices for themselves online.
This event will help you find out more about what you can do to help protect yourself or others from potential harms of online gaming. The event will also look to talk about safeguarding and how to keep young people safe.
We are holding two sessions in the day for students in Years 7 & 8 across Warwickshire Schools; as well as Designated Safeguarding Leads and other teachers. These sessions will run from
- 10:30am – 12:00
- 13:00 – 14:00.
There is also an evening session which parents (along with their children), youth groups and other professionals are able to sign up to. This will run from 18:00 – 19:30. Please note, some of the topics covered in this event may be unsuitable for very young children.
Local partners will be on hand to give you information about support, information and how to report issues young people may face.
